If your student is not feeling well, do not send them to school. We can avoid the need for quarantines if all of us work together. If your student has been placed on a quarantine, it is important that you are communicating with your teachers and sharing any questions you may have directly with them or our office.
Our district’s quarantine information page ( see link here) will continue to be updated. The self-screening process every morning is an important way to keep our students in school, particularly when it comes to quarantines for students who are identified as being in close contact to an individual who has been diagnosed as a probable or confirmed case of COVID-19, as required by the Macomb County Health Department. This will help us keep students and staff safe and eliminate the need for quarantining. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR STUDENT TO SCHOOL IF HE/SHE IS EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS OR ILLNESS. It is important that our families self-screen students every morning as outlined on the health and safety protocols. If those adjustments are necessary, you will hear that directly from me.Īll of us have a level of control over the health and safety of our school community. Monroe’s letter indicated, we may need to make adjustments in our mitigation strategies for specific programs, classrooms or the entire school. The health and safety protocols used by our school are available on the UCS website.Īt this time, there has been no change in the protocols used in our school, including our strong recommendation that families consider the use of face coverings. Our school continues to work to maintain an in-person learning for all students through the entire year.
